Eat your greens smoothie

Dark green leafy vegetables are full of calcium and iron. If you’re not getting a good bunch of them into your system every day, try sneaking one of these tasty smoothies in. Great for kids as well!

Stuff you’ll need:

  • 1 medium to large banana
  • a handful of baby spinach, washed
  • water

How to make it:

  1. Break the banana up into pieces and put it in a blender with the other ingredients. Start with a small amount of water, then you can add more later if you like.
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Pour into a tall glass over ice, add a straw and enjoy!
  • Makes one large or two smaller smoothies.
