Classic banana smoothie

Sometimes a recipe is so simple that you can hardly believe it tastes so good. This classic banana smoothie recipe has been a favourite of mine since I was a child and it still hits the spot when I need a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. 

Stuff you’ll need:

  • 1 medium to large ripe banana
  • 1 c soy milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

How to make it:

  1. Break the banana into pieces and put it in a blender along with the soy milk and vanilla
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Pour into a tall glass, over ice if you desire, add a straw and enjoy!
  • Makes one large smoothie.
