Choc-almond brownies
These brownies are definitely not for the faint of heart! Indulge at your own risk.
Stuff you’ll need:
- 1 c plain flour
- ½ c sugar
- ½ c cocoa powder
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ c agave nectar
- ½ c vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- ¼ c almond milk
- 100g dark chocolate
- ½ c almonds, chopped
How to make it:
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease a tray or baking tin with vegetable oil
- Combine the first five ingredients and mix well
- Combine the next four ingredients (agave nectar, vegetable oil, vanilla essence and almond milk) in a separate bowl and whisk together
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry and fold together with a wooden spoon (don’t overmix)
- Break the dark chocolate into pieces and add to the mixture, along with the nuts
- Put the mixture into the tin and bake for 20 minutes or until your neighbours start to line up at your door
- Serve with vegan cream, yoghurt or ice cream.
